AnceStories is an ongoing body of work by Myiah Pink, first introduced in 2022, exploring the connection between lineage, spirituality, and identity—centered through the experiences of women.

The series reflects on how dreams, desires, and callings are passed down through generations—not only through blood, but through memory, storytelling, and sacred moments of care. Inspired by the intimacy of women gathering—particularly the tradition of stories shared while getting their hair done—each piece honors the quiet ways ancestral wisdom is preserved and transferred.

What began as a focus on women and their connection to the spiritual realm has since evolved to include elements of music, spirit animals, and self-portraiture, expanding the visual language of the series while remaining rooted in its core: inheritance, becoming, and divine identity.
